Class list so far:
- Basic Massage instructor: Wulfgar Horathius von Achen
- Hands-on instruction for basic massage strokes taught by a licensed massage therapist. Bring a large beach towel (instructor will provide massage oils.)
Ladies - Please wear a bikini or a two-piece bathing suit, or shorts and a halter top.
Lords - Please wear shorts.
1 Hour
- A Beginner's Guide to Shakespear instructor: Sofia Tyzes
- Lecture and hands-on class. This class will cover the basics of William Shakespeare and his life. We will discuss the works of Shakespeare, and read some scenes and sonnets out loud.

- Beginning Embroidery
- Beginning Middle Eastern Drumming instructor: James Barkley
- Rhythms and techniques for the beginning Middle Eastern Drummer. Bring your doumbek if you have one.
Participants will learn how to hold and strike the drum and how to play the three basic notes, as well as some basic drum rhythms. A limited number of loaner drums will be available.

- Making a Renaissance Journal Book instructor: Pietro Nicolo da san Tebaldo
Please Note: This class will be held on FRIDAY EVENING, 7:30 to 10:00 p.m., in the Dining Hall.
- Hands-on. Build a hand-bound book of a style often seen in paintings of Medieval and Renaissance life.
Please bring the following tools (instructor has several of his own to lend, if you don’t have these):
- ruler
- pencil
- bulldog clips or little spring clips (1 or 2)
- sharp awl
- needle-nosed pliers
- sewing needle
Materials fees:
- Full-sized book (6.5” x 8”)…$14.00
- Half-sized book (4” x 6.5”)….$8.00
- Quarter-sized book (2” x 3”)...$5.00 (perfect for a Dance Crib Book – fits in the palm of your hand!)
Although there should be enough materials for a few walk-ins, pre-registration by e-mail is greatly appreciated. There will be plenty of hand-outs for folks who don’t make a book in class.

- Calligraphic Hand: Uncial Majuscule instructor: Jaret of Coventry
- Irish Calligraphy, Layout and Design.
Hands-on lesson in a distinctive 7th through 9th Century Irish calligraphic script, focusing on letter forms and layout, with suggestions for adaptation for SCA scrolls.
1 Hour Limit: 8 Gentles Fee: $3.00 (materials)
- Conventions and Courtesy in the SCA
- Dancing Through Europe instructor: Katherin verch Rhys
- Come and learn a collection of dances from throughout medieval Europe. If there’s a specific dance you’d like to learn, let me know and I’ll see what I can do! - Extract Brewing instructor: James le Hauke
Please note: Any person attending this class must provide photo-identification proof that s/he is 21 (twenty-one) years of age, or older.
- Lecture. Brewing beer using grain extracts. Class will cover a discussion of various specialty grains, their flavors and color profiles; different flavors and aromas produced by various hops; yeasts and their flavors and fermentation styles; sanitation practices and their contribution

- Fabric Painting
- Fletching instructor: Garvin the Slow
- Students will examine both modern and medieval fletching jigs, and learn a basic technique for fletching arrows (securing feathers to the back of the shaft) and produce one arrow of ; if time permits, some advanced techniques will be discussed and demonstrated. 1 Hour Limit: 20 gentles
- Italian Dance
- Glass Bead Making instructor: Seadna O'Bainniann
- Hands-on beginning bead making class. This is an open flame class and spitting hot glass is a potential hazard. Discussion will include period techniques and uses. Observers always welcome. 1 Hour Limit: 5 gentles hands-on. (Unlimited observers.)

- Profiling Medieval Ships: A Pirate's Guide for Beginning...Entrepreneurs
- Cutting Quills instructor: Milesent Vibert
- Come learn to cut a feather pen, each participant will walk away with a quill. Not for children, please bring a sharp knife.
