Pennsic!

SCA Buisness:

The Chariot was presented to Their Majesties, it cost roughly $400 of the Barony's funds plus donations from the crew let by Fitzranulf. Chief Engineer was Timothy Woodhill with Pietro acting as Artistic Director. Thanks to everyone who helped paint - Katy, Bastian, their roomate John and Clairiel.

Anyone who is crewing one of the rubber band cannons at war see Fitz after meeting

The question was asked if we would be having a Baronial party at this year's war. No.

Anyone who wishes to retain for Their Majesties at Pennsic, there will be a sign up sheet at the gate of Midrealm Royal. See Aldamoureis for details.

Her Majesty's son Matthew needs a ride to war on Saturday afternoon. He just has one bag and a guitar. See Alda for details.

And anyone with extra room to pack stuff in leaving war, Alda would like to see you as well.

There will be a Children's party the second Saturday of War (Aug 17th) at Bork camp (N-21) with a water balloon fight. Activities for younger kids will run 5-7pm, with activities for bigger kids 7pm-9pm. See Marsaili for details

There will be no armourer's guild this week

Chai's vigil will be on the wednesday of the 2nd week of war (Aug 14th) starting at 4 o'clock. See Silverthorn for details

While most everyone is going to war Lucus Archery and Albion woods will still be there for those who can't make it to war and want to practice archery on sunday afternoons and monday nights.

The archery guild is having a competition, if you shoot the war point (and you are all going to shoot the war point, aren't you?) get your score to Ian (Camped at Blacksilver, (E-11) along with the number of arrows you took to the field, and the number you came back with. The prizes are $10 gift certificates to Lucus Archery. See Ian, Imre or That Chick for details.

There was an article in the TI on trebuchets, a great last minute war project! Fitz swears you can make one by Saturday.

There will be a Dance Guild meeting August 26th at the Euclid Public Library

The T-Shirt order has been placed, Aurora will be picking the shirts up August 7th, for those who will be at war by then, she'll bring the shirts to the August 28th meeting for distribution.

There will be an Archery Guild meeting September 17th

Sir Ephraim wished to express that anyone thinking about regalia or possibly purchasing regalia at war to think twice and hold off as no decision has been made yet about baronial regalia. Lord Nial will coordinate those wishing to make regalia so that efforts will not be duplicated and if you wish to know our Baron or Baroness-elect's opinions on regalia, please ask them.

DEMOS:

Baycrafters! There is only one more meeting before baycrafters. Help is needed especially for set up friday night, we'd like to have the demo set up before the faire opens on saturday morning. Tear down on monday also needs a lot of help. If you do not sign up for Baycrafters at next meeting (Aug 28th) you will not get into the faire for free. See Darius for details.

Non SCA:

THere is a CWRU Activities faire demo August 24th, that's the saturday before our next SCA meeting. It's a small demo but very important for attracting new members to the group, any help would be appreciated. See Jess or your favorite CWRU person for details.

There will be another CWRU demo on September the 7th, a tourney, see Jess for details.

Jess is looking for 1 1/2 inch tiles, anyone with a source see him.
