There was a very good turn out despite the hot weather, the field lit well by an impressive wrought-iron torch brought by Silverthorn. Lord Darius ran the meeting as Nial was not present.

Keep Brawl at the Crooked Dragon in mind, the rapier and heavy weapons tournaments are scheduled so that folks can compete in both. Also this is a good event to authorize for rapier before Pennsic.

Archery is meeting as usual at Lucus Archery sunday, There is also a practice on Monday nights at Albian woods, that range does not allow crossbows, see Darius for details.

There will be an Archery guild meeting at Bastian and Katy's home on tuesday July 30th.

It's time for the quarterly Arts and Sciences report, if you have not already please get information on your A&S activities to Edward Brackenburye.

There will be no armourer's guild on July 4th as other people will be making more noise, the guild will be meeting the next week as normal. Silverthorn is lending the use of his portable forge to the guild, anyone wanting to learn about forging, bring safety glasses and please wear long cotton pants and preferably boots for the armourer's guild meeting. Syr Theo hopes to see as many heavy weapons fighters and support crew as possible at Melee in the March, this is the last big melee practice event in our area before war, if you don't make Melee, he expects to see you at Brawl at the Crooked Dragon next week. Culann the Letcher is looking for folks interested in a coordinated waterbearer's corps with his company. See Culann for details.

At next baronial meeting (July 10th) the Needleworkers will be meeting inside for Pennsic Panic sewing, see Madelaine for details or if you want her to bring something special, a specific pattern etc. There will be another Pennsic Panic meeting at Madelaine's air conditioned home, time to be announced. See her for sugestions.

Get your Baronial Polls in, they're due July 15th, late polls will not be counted.

DEMOS:

The Camp Ho Mita Koda demo has been moved to tuesday July 23rd in the evening, see Darius for details. Ho Mita Koda is a camp for kids with diabetes, mostly older kids and great potential new members.

There is another demo possibly for September 22nd, more details as that draws nearer and

BAYCRAFTERS! It's coming up faster than you think! Fighters and fencers are needed all three days as well as help setting up and tearing down. You must be on Darius's list to get into the faire for free... see Darius for details.

NON-SCA:

Anyone scrambling to finish their last minute sewing, Katerin is looking for small fabric scraps, see her with your donations to her padded project.
