Lord Nial opened the meeting with a reminder to please pay your tithe, we do pay for this site. We ask $1 from everyone, $2 from combatants. If you are new, please be our guest.

SCA Buisness:

Brice needs a Chiurgeon for Brawl at the Crooked Dragon. Apparently his Chiurgeon went and got a broken leg. See him if you are a qualified Chiurgeon or know one who is available for this event (July 19th)

The Needleworkers have new tabbards for our fighters - some assembly required. See Lyonnete to help sew tabbard halves into tabbards, don't forget to get the instructions when you do! Completed tabbards should be returned to the guild mistress for distribution. Fighters: If you need a tabbard contact Lyonnete to get on the list. Also we will be charging for the completed tabbards. The cannon crew will be doing cannon drills by the cannon after meeting, see Fitz for details.

The Midrealm Warriors project is on going, see Katherine ferch G. for details. Notibly warm thoughts go out to Daffyd ap Niel who is serving overseas in the coast gaurd presently.

There will be no archery practice this weekend due to the holiday.

Armourer's guild will be meeting thursday night as usual, see Timothy for details and he's looking for someone to take this guild off his hands.

It's time to collect the quarterly A&S report, see Edward Brackenburye or sign up on the sheet by the basket so he can have a complete report of activities.

This year is the Cleftlands 25th Anniversary, we'd like to do something special. A sugestion was made to do something special for the August Dessert Revel, if you have opinions please see Nial.

DEMOS:

Baycrafters! It's sooner than you think. Pavillions are needed, the more voluteers the more fun each volunteer has. Sign up early and often. Darius will have a sign up sheet at meeting next week. If you don't sign up, you don't get into the faire for free.

The very next weekend, don't put those pavillions and projects into long storage because they're needed at the Euclid Renn Faire. We are the main attraction for this faire, see Lady Akizuki for details.

Non-SCA:

Fitzranulf has Jehenne's tent here tonight, it's for sale so those interested please see Fitz after cannon drills.

Gallery Cafe on 185th street: Monday nights Middle Eastern Dance Share, Thursdays Drum Circle. See Darius for details.

Lady Akizuki is continuing her beginners Japanese class, on the stairs at about 8pm next week. See her for details.

Christina of the Black Rose Inn has a stereo stand and a singer sewing machine in its cabinet looking for a new home. The sewing machine may require a tune up, see her for details.

Sunday the 7th is the Sunset Celebration at ?? there will be a free bagpipe contest.

Making mead or cordial? It's Mulberry season! Pietro knows, his yard is full of them. If you'd like to take some off his hands, he'd be happy. Monty may know another good source of mulberries as well.

If you didn't get a copy yet, there are still a few Cleft Views o n the table. Fitz has no idea who is responsible.

Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunate for them!) Ephraim and Madelaine are in New Mexico presently. They send their regrets that they could not be here tonight for this announcement and they do have some words prepared for the occaision which they will share next week.

On to the announcement:

This is Lord Nial's last meeting acting as Seneschal. There have been good times and a lot of hard work. He stated an appology for any hurt feelings or misunderstandings, he only did what he felt was best for the Barony. Nial asked the four candidates to stand. They were: Darius, Milesent, Pietro and Stephan.

Nial called forward the one he had picked: Stephan von Lubeck. He gave Stephan the keys to the barony, the seneschal's medalion and a lovely tote bag with the barony's device and seneshal's symbol upon it to carry all that stuff the Seneshal has to lug around. And asked Stephan to close the meeting.

Stephan stated that there were 45 minutes left, have fun.
