Lord Nial opened the meeting with an announcement that everyone should be recieving their Baronial Polls by this weekend, if you do not recieve it by this weekend, see Nial. Polls must be returned by July 15th. The candidates for Baron and Baroness are: Ealdred and Clairiel, Ephraim and Madelaine, and Nickolas and Serena.

44 days till Pennsic!

SCA Buisness:

Nial is going up to work on the Pennsic Fort this weekend, anyone wishing to carpool please see him.

We have six flags tickets, graciously donated by Monty, if you'd like to buy one or several, see Nial. The proceeds will be going to Children's activities for the barony.

Our needleworkers guildmistress is planning a 'Pennsic Panic' sewing bee, see Madelaine if you've ideas for scheduling, or even if you just want advice on your Pennsic sewing project.

Also, Madelaine volunteered the needleworker's guild to make toys for the children for the October Rainbow Babies demo... without consulting her guild. oops. If you'd like to help out and make a toy for this kids please see Madelaine, the projects will not be overly difficult, honest.

Did you hear the fighters practicing our Battle Song earlier? Guess what? You too can own a copy of this inspiring tune on cd! Sir Alaric brought a stack with him to meeting, enjoy! and go do some more melee practice to help with your lung capacity!

At 8pm on monday there will be a Northern Oaken War Maneuvers staff debriefing, finish up your paperwork, hand it in, get those last few reciepts returned, volunteer for next year, etc. See Stephan or Crispin for details.

Armourer's Guild is meeting thrusday nights as usual, see Timothy or Calum for details.

Next week is Dessert Revel, as usual there will be an A&S class (Guenhwyvar teaching calligraphy and illumination for beginers?) See our A&S Minister, Edward Brackenburye, for details.

Archery is meeting at Lucus Archery at 1pm on Sunday as usual, see Ian for details.

The Roaring Wastes Fighter Practice is going to be a large practice with fighters coming from all over Talan from Darkyard has flyers and directions, there will be authorizations and combat archery as well as a host of other martial activities.

The Cooks Guild will be meeting for an Inventory Party at Ealdred and Clairiel's home on Sunday, see them for directions.

Ceinwen is taking T-Shirt orders, $10 a shirt, if they don't get 60 orders the price will be going up, see Ceinwen or Aurora for details.

Nial wished to thank the Marshals for watching and keeping the fighting safe today without list ropes, hoobah marshals!

And Edward Fitzranulf added a personal note... this is just about exactly the 20 year anniversary of his first SCA meeting, a Cleftlands meeting on the west side at the metroparks, and it's been a fun 20 years!

DEMOS:

This weekend!!!! June 22nd (That's Saturday) There is a demo for camp Ho Mita Koda, (Lady Alex has directions) Fighters, Fencers, Archers, Dancers and Artists are all needed. These are older kids, (potential new members!) there is an archery range that will be open, plenty of fighting and fencing and displays of wares, See Lady Alex for details.

July 7th there will be a second demo for camp Ho Mita Koda

Baycrafters is coming up fast, volunteer now to fight, fence or serve. Pavillions and shade are needed, see Darius if you've a pavillion to loan.

In October there will be a demo for Rainbow Babies, see Peredur if you'd like to help with the puppet show, fighters are welcome, though are asked not to wear their helmets (too scary!) There is plenty of space, see Lady Alex for details.

Non-SCA:

In two and a half weeks the Great Lakes Medieval Faire opens, Hawise hopes to have flyers for folks, Owen Fife and his lovely music will be there all three weekends this year.

Yesult has three pieces of garb, a wool tunic, a sideless surcoat and a cloak for sale as well as some mat board, see her if you're interested after meeting.

CWRU Medieval Society is having an event/demo in early September, honest it doesnt conflict with Baycrafters! See Jess for details.
