SCA Buisness:

Armourer's Guild will be meeting thursday night as usual at Eldred and Clairiel's see Timothy for details

Archery is meeting at Geauga Bowmen's on Sunday, see Elayne Von K. for details

Sarah Rex (lady Akizuki) has lost and found for NOWM

July 19th is Brawl at the Crooked Dragon, there will be 2 man rapier melees, rubber band gun fun and other activities. Brice is looking for a heavy weapons marshal for the day, see him.

Cooks Guild will not been meeting this Sunday, but will meet the sunday after that (June 29th) at Eldred and Clairiel's. The theme for the day is cooking outdoors. Get yourself ready for Pennsic. Eldred will be roasting a lamb so those who like to /eat/ are welcome too. All the cooking impliments you could desire will be present, bring food and they'll show ya how to cook it.

Saturday June 28th there will be a fighter practice at Sir Will's. Two years ago they had about 70 fighters turn up so it's practically a mini event. Combat Archery is welcome, a lot of melee practice for War. Fighting will start around 1pm and run till they're tired of fighting with a bonfire and BBQ in the evening. Baroness Seadna will be teaching a class on making glass beads for the non combatants. See Will for details, he has a flyer.

There will be a Needleworker's Guild meeting at Lyonnete's home on tuesday. That's next tuesday, before our next meeting, for much sewing of hoods and if we get those done, some tabbards for our battle unit. See Lyonnete for details.

There will be an Archery Guild meeting after regular buisness meeting next week.

Also Saturday the 28th there will be a rubberband cannon ammunition making bee at Fitzranulf's home, see Fitz for details, entertainment will be provided.

The Scurlious Scribes are at it again, there is a new issue of the underground paper 'The Cleft View'.

Scribes - scroll blanks are needed badly! See Elena or Guenhwyfar for help making scrolls.

Lady Akizuki's beginning Japanese language class went well today, it will be going on next week as well taught upstairs where there are chalk boards.

Non-SCA:

Brewers, Bakers, Cordial-makers! Mulberries are in season, Peitro knows this, as does his car, his driveway and yard. If you would like Mulberries, see Pietro.

Several Cleftlanders were honnored at the NOWM court, notably Conrad set on vigil for knighthood, and others: Akizuki Chako - Award of Arms, Alexandra la Noire - Award of the Purple Fret, Brice Colquhoun - Company of the Bronze Ring, Guenhwyvar MacEwen - Order of the Dragon's Heart, Kiriena Kirova Doch' Rysenkova - Award of Arms, Lothar de Normandie - Order of the Red Company, Nial the Wanderer of Bork - Order of the Silver Oak, Regan of Blacksilver - Apward of the Purple Freth, Zuriel Nightshade - Order of the Silver Oak. And others who were not present also recieved awards.

It is a privilage of Barons and Baronesses that they may at need speak for the Crown and so Duchess Emelyne Carithil was called forward and presented with her Order of the Dragon's Heart.

Sir Ephraim in particular noted appreciation for her long, quiet service behind the scenes and that those who avoid recognition for their deeds do sometimes still recieve it. Hoobah.
