Lord Nial not being present, our deputy seneschal Rutgur stepped forward to cheerfully run his first meeting in that post.

Firstly, please remember your tithe! We have a dozen or so combatants, easily 40 people here, and only twenty some dollars in the basket. $1 from regular folks (over 12) and $2 from combatants, if this is your first or second meeting, please be our guests.

Events!

Baron Wars last weekend was fun, upcoming this weekened we have
Tiger hunt in Michigan
Aethelmarc War Practice, Cooper's Lake PA. you know how to get there ;)

and Northern Oaken War Maneuvers is coming up fast!
There will be a Chivalry meeting, a fencing novice tourney, archery champion shoot... it looks to be a big event!
You may pre-register with either Guenhwyvar or Celeste
Anyone wishing to help out with set up, clean up or security see Crispin or Gunthur
Garvin the Slow is assistant autocrat
The feast menu is available on the website, it looks good
There will be a bardic circle friday night,
Hofla dance party all day Saturday (classes during the day and it'll really get cooking by dark) Darius and Celeste are co-ordinating efforts for the Hofla
Royalty will be there, this is likely the last court before Pennsic so it should be a big one! Get your award recomondations in soon so the scribes have time to make all the scrolls. The on line web form for recommendations is not working, don't use it! Instead mail or email thier Magesties directly with the subject set as: award recommondation-Event Name (NOWM5) so that they can sort messages more easily, they do get a /lot/ of these. (I believe TRM@midrealm.org is a valid email adress to send these to)
There will be western classes to compliment the middle eastern, please see Milesent (That's ME!) if you're interested. I'd love to see more classes along the crusader theme.
If anyone would like to donate an hour to children's activities during the day, Marsali would be greatful
And as always help is needed for the kitchen and servers.

SCA Buisness:

The Fellowship of the Oaken Blade is raffeling off a dagger and buckler set made by our own Gladius the Alchemist, very nice workmanship, to raise money to purchase dress gorgets for the Order of the Bronze Ring. This is the Midrealm's highest order for fencing and currently, they have no regalia whatsoever! The dagger and buckler are a $155 value, only 155 tickets will be sold at $5 a piece.

Armorer's guild is meeting on thursday as usual, however at thier old location! The weather's warmmed up, and so has Valorian's forge. They will be meeting at Valorian's house, not far from meeting site, very close to Muldoon's saloon. see Valorian or Timothy for details.

Dance Guild is meeting this Monday, May 21st at the Euclid public library, please see me for directions :)

Archery Guild and Scribe's guild are meeting here at the Shore Center on tuesday, that's the 22nd. It's a potluck meeting

DEMOS:

May 25th for LeMusse middle school

June 18-22nd, June 11-13-14 and July 16-20th are three separate cub scout demos

Gwyntarian-Adleford have a demo this weekend for anyone not going to Aethelmarc war practice, it's a good cause and SCA presence is a big help, it is a fund raiser for handicapped kids, fighters, fencers dancers, all are welcome, especially if you have any hands on activities, things the kids can play with.

Duke Andrew passed away last weekend, please everyone keep his family in your thoughts. There will be a small, private service.

Non SCA:

This weekend there's an Equestrian Festival... somewhere...

July 17th Jethro Tull will be at Caine Park

Edward Fitzranulf has two boyscout tents for sale, they're fixer-upers, but definately good cheap 'give me something to protect me from the elements' Pennsic goods. They need painting, have some poles and stakes. He's asking $20 a piece for them.

The Hessler Street Fair is also this weekend, a good music and arts festival, very fun and there's suposed to be some good dancers performing there ;)

The Pat Catan's at SOM and Euclid is having a sale!

And since his Grace was not present, that's all for this week.

section break

And that is all for this week.
In service,
