Archive : Minutes : 5-1-02Lord Nial opened the meeting with a reminder to please pay your tithe, we do pay for this site. We ask $1, $2 from combatants, if this is your first or second meeting, please be our guests. We recieved thank you letters from Their Serene Highnesses of Northshield Gaius and Aramanthra and from Their Majesties Sarnac and Joleicia of Ealdormere thanking us for Coronation. Lord Nial will have the letters at the next few meetings if you'd like to see them. Baronial Candidates: Today was the last day to submitt your name as a candidate for Baron or Baroness of the Cleftlands. The current list the Kingdom Seneshal has provided to Nial is:
Madelaine and Ephraim Please feel free to approach any of these individuals to discuss issues of Baronial sucession. Lady Aurora expressed her regret that she is going to be out of town and therefore unavailable to the populace for questioning for the next three weeks, however she does check her email. Check the Baronial directory for her contact information. His Grace Laurelen is also out of town for the next couple weeks, please don't take this as a sign or portent of anything but a mundane buisness trip. His Grace also checks his email regularly. (Available in the directory or on the web site.) Duchess Emmelyn expressed her concern that we as a barony be able to meet the candidates formally at a meeting and hear their views as potential barons/baronesses. EVENTS:Standard Bearer's - As we do not have a Baron, Lord Nial had decided that we shall not have a Standard Bearer's Competition. Once a Baron is selected they may decide how to handle the carrying of the battle standard, however he is looking to hold a Baronial Championship. He's looking at a date of June 22nd. Some concern was raised as we have a Demonstration scheduled for that day for Camp Homatakoda, however Nial felt the event was more important and that date is one that has no conflicting events scheduled. See Lord Nial if you've concerns or would like to volunteer to help organize the event. At this point the Baronial Exchequer expressed some concern as she had not been consulted about the event and... she assumes we want to spend more than fifty dollars at it? Lord Nial ammended that the event is still in the planning stages and that is why Duchess Emmelyn was not consulted.
