CORONATION:

Help is needed everywhere, if you haven't volunteered yet, ask the autocrats and they'll be sure to tell you where you're needed.

Friday night Snowden would like some of our most able bodied populace to help her move 36 rented tables to the second floor of the event site. Help is also needed for the rest of set up Friday night, they'd like to have nothing waiting to be done Saturday morning! and tear down Saturday night.

Kathryn verch Rhys is acting as Troll tonight, this is your last chance to pre-reg and save a little on the gate fee. Feast is sold out. If you want to be on the waiting list, see Kathryn, or see Ceinwen to be a server.

Servers sit feast for half price, the serving of this feast is intended to happen in a special way, no servers will be selected the day of the event. See Ceinwen as soon as possible if you intend to serve. (Ceinwen_@hotmail.com) or her lovely assistant Rutgur.

Classes for the event are full, and now you can do Lady Anastasia a favor and attend them! a full class list will be available on the website.

The lunch kitchen needs two volunteers for two hours on the day of the event, and preferably one volunteer to help with cooking next week. Most of the lunch cooking is being done before the event. See Hauke or Lady Sarra for details.

There will be an auction that needs both donations and bidders. Please see Sir Ephraim for details. Note: No alcoholic donations, nor fancy bottles that may contain liquid, lovely corks etc. If you have Lost and found items from past events that no one has yet claimed... they make handy auction donations.

There will be two tournements at the event, the main fighting will be a challenge bear-pit style, so everyone should have plenty of fighting, and secondarily His Magesty Ragnvaldr has asked for a Chivalry Tournement. This will happen before and probably also during the other tournement, with a special prize, and should be quite interesting to watch. Come see how the Chivalry fight each other. SCA BUISNESS:

Archery is meeting as usual this sunday, 1pm Lucus archery. Darius is marshalling.

It's spring, time for a new look... why not augment your wardrobe with a stunning Barony of the Cleftlands T-Shirt? Armourer's guild is not meeting this thursday, they will resume as usual next week.

Since you won't be going to armourer's guild thursday night, you can go to the Dance Guild meeting! 7pm, Euclid public library, see me for details :)

At May dessert revel Lady Alex will be teaching glass painting, she'll bring paint and brushes, you need to bring a piece of glass and the pattern you want to paint. Clear glass works best, though opaque is fine as well. Make sure it's a thick and sturdy glass.

Lord Nial appologises for missing his own root beer class, he'll be teaching it next week. Also brewer's, they will be brewing mead in the next two weeks, see Nial for details.

Anyone who has personal information on the website (ie: real name, phone number, email adress.) your webmistress just found out she's got to get you to sign 'I won't sue you' waivers. Note: All baronial officers have personal info on the website! Please see the webmistress (that's me) for details.

DEMOS:

May 5th there is a Dance Demo for Stone Creek Grove, see the Dance Guild mistress for details.

Friday May 24th there is a Demo for Shaker Heights, from around 3:30pm (when school closes) until 7:00pm. The students are putting on a medieval/renaissance faire and would like 'extras', jugglers, dancers, bards, etc.

June 30th and July 7th, both sundays, two demos for a camp of kids. See Lady Alex for Details.

Baycrafters is coming up fast this year, Darius would like all the planning to be done before Pennsic, see him for details.

There is a Demo coming up in October for Rainbow Babies, see Lady Alex for details, there are items being prepared as gifts for the children at that demo.

Aurora was misled! they said it was a kitchen table, it is not. Anyone interested in a nice dining set that will not fit in a kitchen, table chairs and buffet need a home, see Aurora.

This friday the mundane english country group is meeting in Lakewood. They do period English country dances all the way up to ones written last week. See Angharad, Aiden, Angie, Edward or Milesent for directions/details.

Anastasia (the artist formerly known as Vashti) has a tent for sale. It's roomy, in good condition and too big for her. See her for details.

From Her Highness:

If anyone has a picture of Her Highness in profile, she'd like a copy.

Alys appologised for not being able to attend meetings more regularly, but as it is Easter break at school she could make it this week. She wanted to Thank everyone for all the hard work they're putting into Their Highness' Coronation before the event. She is very impressed and touched by all your efforts.

She is nervous and looking forward to the event, feel free to stop in on Their Highnesses while they are trapped nervously sitting in state and please take the time to enjoy the event.

Alys also appologised that she would not be in the kitchen at this particular event chopping onions. Someone in the audience sugested maybe she could serve feast to which Her Highness replied with a vehement No!

When she was elevated to the Laurel, she had been scheduled to serve the feast that night. The Reigning monarch approached her and asked if she would sit at high table, and Alys appologised saying that she was going to serve and got told in no uncertain terms that that was not acceptable, she would sit! Alys has the suspicion that this will be a similiar event and there is a place she is suposed to be at the feast. And she is certain that the feast will be served well, and there will be spoons in every dish!
