And the Herald did cry "Oyez! Oyez! pray attend upon... me for this weeks baronial meeting" as there was no seneschal present. Much teasing of the herald ensued.

Standard Bearers is coming up! April 28th, the site is in Stow, which is Gwyntarian territory, but really, it's only a half hour from our meeting site and we should show up in force to prove to the Gwyntarian populace what a force to be reckoned with our fighters, archers and fencers are! The troll is here and taking reservations, prices are posted on the board.

SCA Buisness:

Darius thanks all who attended the boyscouts demo this past saturday, it went well (though perhaps having some heavy fighters there would've helped) and the demo for Kent State's ashtabula campus on monday went well also. There is another demo coming up in June, more details when that draws nearer (and Darius has his notebook with him)

Scouts, stealth scouts, combat scouts, c'mon it's fun, you get to go into battle and harrass the fighters and they can't hit you. See Darius or Myfanwy if you're interested in learning more.

The Archery guild met on tuesday, they made several targets and had fun, ate some good food. In april they'd like to run team competitions, teams of crossbows and recurves competting against other teams for the four weekends in April. They may have a prize for the competition and if they do might charge a dollar for participants to pay for the prize. Archery is still meeting every sunday at Lucus archery, see Darius or Edward for directions, or check out the website ;) The Archery guild will have another potluck meeting April 3rd.

Armorer's guild is meeting on the west side, thursday nights, see Timothy for details.

The cooks guild is meeting next tuesday, the 13th at Ealdred and Clariel's house... see Clariel for directions. You don't have to be a guild member to attend, you just gotta like food!

Dance Guild is meeting here in the Shore center on Monday, be there, I will be! ;)

The Baronial webpage will be moving to its new server on friday, and also on friday the email lists (like the one you're reading now) will be moving to a new computer. I'll email y'all with the new address soon as it's available. Don't panic ;)

There is a rumor circulating about our archery guild getting an award? It's still just a rumor.

Darius will be teaching Middle Eastern Dance on Thursday here.

The site for Baron Wars has changed, it will not be at the fort, but will be at a boyscout camp instead (it's a nice site, some coronation was held there in the past)

Non SCA:

A good military history movie with a fabled sniper duel that never really happened but should be a fun watch is coming out Friday the 16th, Enemy at the Gate

The CWRU Medieval Society will not be meeting next week due to Spring Break. Fun will resume the following tuesday.

Valorian has girlscout cookies! And so does Aurora... girlscout cookie sale battle? eh hem, anyway help out the kids and buy cookies.

This sunday at St. John's Cathedral downtown the Rennaisance band will be playing a free concert, see Master Aiden or check out the flyer posted on the board for details.

Monty will be leaving us for at least 5 weeks, he's gotten a job on a ship, never fear though, he /will/ be back!

Finally, there were about 5 fencers, sorry, rapier combatants, 15 heavy weapons fighters and 35 other people here tonight, and there is only $29 in the tithe basket! grr. Remember, we ask $1 from everyone, $2 from combatants. Don't forget your tithe!
