CORONATION:

It's a big site and we need as many hands as possible for set up friday night. Please keep that evening free, the staff would like to have everything set up friday night, nothing waiting for saturday morning. If you are on staff, consider yourself in charge of getting anything you need set up for whatever activity you are doing. Tear down saturday night needs just as much help, of course.

If you are interested in entertaining at feast, see Snowden, she's compiling a list of posibilites and Their Highnesses are looking for a varried entertainement program.

Servers and those interested in serving feast, the serving is being done in a different style, the feast-o-crat would like to have a list of servers by next week so that the servers can practice and be prepared for the event. Servers get half price on feast.

Herald's point is looking for a laptop to use for the day, the society armourial fits on 8 megs and having it handy would make looking up conflicts easier. (there were a couple of hands raised almost imediately, laptop owners see Pietro if you're interested)

There will be an auction to benefit the royal travel fund, if you have aught to donate, see Sir Ephraim. Note: no alcohol donations. the brewers are putting together a gift basket, see them if you've mead or other alcohol you'd like to donate, not the auction.

Our Gatekeeper is here, give her money. Even if you are not planing on attending feast, please pre-register. You'll save a dollar and save time in the troll line.

If you are on event staff, please get information to the webmistress that she might post it on the event's site.

There will be an Arts and Sciences competition. If you're at all interested in judging, it's fun, it's easy, you don't have to be an expert at anything to judge. See Milesent to volunteer, the more judges there are, the more of the event other judges get to enjoy. Also there's a regeonal A&S competition coming up in a couple weeks, March 23rd, an excellent oportunity to find out what all this judging stuff is about.

The dance guild will be teaching the Dance de Cleves, the steps are in the Forum, wouldn't it be nice if we could all do this simple period dance as a performace for feast?

SCA Buisness:

Her Highness is interested in meeting those new to the society at events, especially those who have been in between one and five years.

SCA Board of directors is looking for a new President, details in the Pale if you're interested in the job ;)

Membership dues are raising. Renew your membership before they do, details in the Pale or see Nial.

There's a new issue of the Forum out, and an issue of the spoof paper 'Cleft view' we have no idea where it came from, honest.

Brewers, Nial is brewing friday afternoon, bottling starting at 9am, see him for details.

Northern Oaken War Maneuvers is still a ways off, but it's not too early to be saving your milk jugs for the water bearers! We need lots of /clean/ jugs. Clean them thoroughly, and leave the caps off for storage, fuzzy things grow in damp sealed bottles and even the fighters won't drink out of jugs like that.

At last year's Oaken Regional A&S competition, Cleftlands made a grand showing, wouldn't it be great to do so again this year?

The fencing demo scheduled for last week didn't happen thanks to the snow, it will be resheduled soon however don't feel you have to wait! Fencing gear and fencing marshals are here every week and want nothing more than to help you learn to fence. See Snowden, Fitzranulf, Li, Sara True, etc. for details.

Combat Archery is meeting at Will's house on the 17th, Sir Will has flyers with directions and a handy 'what you need' list. see Sir Will or his squire Edward for details.

Culainn is up to something, if you're interested in things celtic, see him.

The dance guild will be having a brief meeting after meeting.

Lady Alex is teaching a class on glass painting at an upcoming dessert revel, she'll provide the paints but if you want to participate you'll need the glass. It should be a sturdy piece, something that can survive baking and temperature changes, clear glass works best. See her or the A&S minister for details.

If you have questions about the poll, see Nial asap. The polls are due March 19th, get them in!

Lady Alex made lovely bookmarks for the scribes to use to write names on at demos so you don't have to use your own paper, yay! The bookmarks are also handy to non-scribes having our website and contact info on them.

Mid-October there will be a demo for Rainbow Babies and children's, Lady Alex has been talking with the needleworkers guild about making gifts for the children, there will be about 200 gifts made and a puppet show put on.
