Archive : Minutes : 3-21-01 MinutesWelcome to spring! Lord Nial opened the meeting with some bad news, we are not going to be able to keep our room on a permanent basis. The reason being that the Shore Center requires us to take out a 24 hour insurance policy on the room which will be quite expensive and SCA Corporate will not fund it. We can still use the room outside of our regular wednesday meetings, but now it will cost $35 per use. Each group that meets here should try to collect as close to $35 as they can, some guilds will consolodate thier meetings to have more people and raise money easier. Please direct your questions to Lord Nial or the other baronial officers. Events:This weekend there's the Oaken Arts and Sciences fair in Columbus Pentamere A&S in Kalamazoo Michigan Next weekend is the Tournament of Chivalry in Indiana, only a 4 and a half hour drive, honest! At the Feast of Saint Patrick this past weekend there was a three-on-three melee tournament of which Lyonnete, Robert and Alda were a team. In one notable bout Lyonnete and Robert were killed moments into the fight, leaving Lady Aldamouris alone against three oponnents! And the lady triumphed! As she said, not by being the best fighter, but being the smartest, moving quickly to the opposite side of the field and forcing each of her three opponents to come to her and thus letting her defeat them one at a time. It was inspiring to see even for a non-combatant like myself. hoobah Alda!
