EVENTS:

One week from today, seven days, is the deadline for bids for Northern Oaken War Maneuvers. If you'd like to place a bid for NOWM, you've got seven days.

Stephan Von Lubeck is putting in a bid for NOWM, and would like to have a meeting of potential NOWM staff at his house this sunday at 1pm.

The Standard Bearer's Tournement will be April 19th, Christina of the Black Rose Inn is the autocrat. She made a brief announcement that the title of the event has changed from 'A New Beginning' to 'Spring Revel' due to worries that the earlier title would be misconstrued. There is a site walk through for Standard Bearer's staff Monday at 6pm

SCA BUISNESS:

There will be no Armourer's Guild meeting thursday night, see Timothy for details

Needleworkers, there are a lot of projects going on! See Lyonnete for details.

Tonight there was a begining scribes class taught by Guenhwyfar, and there will be a calligraphy or illumination class every meeting for the month of February! To the 13 new scribes who took the class, keep your scrolls, bring them back next week and continue adding to them! For more details, see Lord Edward Brackenburye

There will be a Dance Guild meeting Monday the 17th at the Euclid Public Library, see Kathryn verch Rhys, Milesent or any other dancer for details.

Archery practice is still meeting on sunday afternoons at Lucus Archery, come shoot!

There will be an Archery Guild buisness meeting tuesday the 18th at Darius's home.

Tuesday nights there's a newbie fighter practice at Lyonnete's home, lady fighters especially welcome. See Lyonnete for details.

This coming tuesday House Lailiel will again be hosting a Scribal Symposium at the home of Master Aiden. See Aiden or Hely for details.

At Candlemas this past weekend there were 121 fighters, Captain Conrad made it to the final 30, and Syr Theo made it to the final 16, hoobah! Also at that event, House Nosse Eldesar's newest member, Lady Kat, recieved her Award of Arms for her service at demos and scribal work. Hoobah!

For those who missed Sir Alaric's pewter casting class at the event, many of you expressed your disappointment to him and he will be teaching the class again at the March Dessert Revel.

For those of you going to the Oaken Regonal Arts and Sciences Competition, when the autocrats said 'no smoking' they meant it! Anyone who smokes and is going to that event be aware this includes no smoking outdoors as well. If you must smoke, they recommend doing so in your car, and discretely as possible.

Ephraim and Madelaine would like anyone who has an opinion concerning Baronial Regalia to please share that opinion with them. This is not a vote, if you don't care either way that's fine. They've heard opinions from several vocal sources and would like to know how the populace in general feels. If you could share your opinions on Regalia and the reasons behind them with Their Excellencies, they'd be most grateful. They are available if you would like to approach them at meeting, call them or email.
