Filling in for Nial, Darius opened the meeting with a note that there are some new faces in the crowd, he asked all the baronial officers to raise their hands and noted that new people should feel free to ask those folks anything they need to and be welcome.

Of less cheerful news, there was a typo on the Baronial polls, they are due February 19th, not March 19th! Yes, that was yesturday. However, there have been very few polls returned and they will not start counting until they have at least 67% of the polls. It is likely that the kingdom seneschal will accept the polls until March 19th as the typo was their fault, not ours, but it's best to get your polls in quickly! If you are an SCA member inside of Cuyahoga County and have not recieved a poll, please see Darius, Rutgur or myfanwy imediately, Lord Nial has to sign off on issuing you a poll.

Set up friday night will need as many hands as possible! Make no plans for Friday April 12th, there are four floors worth of event site that need preparing!

Bastian's looking for help with his Castle wall to hide the mundane gym equipment.

Marsaili's got some fun children's activities planed for the event, see her if you'd like to donate an hour or two to keeping our future entertained and help out with the crafts.

Troll is open and accepting reservations, the only reservation is a paid reservation. Pre-reg runs until April 5th, and there are only 160 feast spots remaining. See the goddess Clariel to reserve your spot.

There will be an auction at the event to bennefit the royal travel fund, note per kingdome law no alcohol will be auctioned. So if you were planning on donating mead to the auction... don't.

SCA Buisness:

There will be archery practice as usual this sunday, the guild would like to meet with archery marshals after buinsess meeting, and there will be a guild meeting after next meeting.

There is a Dance Guild meeting on tuesday the 26th at the home of Milesent and Lyonnete. See either lady for details/directions.

The alderford event this weekend has no heavy weapons, but will have youth boffer fighting! It's a nearby event and there should be a good turnout of youth fighters and a lot of fun including a barrier battle. See Ser Nick if you are interested in youth combat or becoming a youth combat marshal.

There is fencing every week here at our regular meeting. There are age restrictions, if you are interested in youth rapier please talk to Snowden.

At next week's desert revel there will be a class taught by our marshals of fence on everything you ever wanted to know about sca fencing, great for beginners! There will also be a Mahjong class.

The scribe's guild had a lot of fun on tuesday night at Master Aiden's crushing up rocks to make paint. Master Aiden is continuing to run scribal symposiums at his home the third tuesday of the month. See Master Aiden or Guenhwyfar for details.

Northern Oaken War Maneuvers is coming, start saving your milk jugs for the mistress of the waterbearers! Please wash them out thoroughly and store them with the caps /off/. She doesn't like scary green fuzzy things.

Alda has several wooden boxes, 16 to be exact, one for each kingdom to be given out at war by Their Magesties, wouldn't it be neat to have them painted? If you'd like to volunteer to paint a box, see Alda, several pretty kingdom devices remain unclaimed.

There will be a combat archery meeting in the hall after meeting to schedule the next combat archery get together. See Klaus or Sir Will for details.

Garvin is feastocratting NOWM this June, see him if you're interested in helping out, it's never too early to plan.

DEMOS:

There are two demos coming up in June for a camp, Sunday June 16th for kids aged 13-15 (tomorrow's fighters!) and Sunday June 30th for kids aged 10-12. See Darius, Sarah Rex or Lady Alex for details.

May 5th there is a dance demo for Stone Creek Grove, see Milesent or Darius for details.

Non SCA:

(erk, forgot to write down which lady) has a 25 pound bow for sale, one dollar a pound! $25. The bow was inspected by archery marshals and is legal. (I believe it was snatched up fairly quickly)

Alienor's sister is moving, if you'd like to help out see Alienor to arrange bribery or barter.

The Chagrin Valley little theater is putting on A Lion in Winter. Should be a great play but... King Henry needs some clothes. If you've male garb appropriate to the time period, see Kathryn verch Rhys.

Edward Fitzranulf is still selling his Nissan Sentra, it's in excellent condition, see him for details.

Vashti has a four room dome tend for sale, it's an excellent Pennsic home! Alas, it's too big for just one person. See her for details.

There is a new Dali painting on display at the Cleveland Museum of Art, oo. (well... not /new/ but... you get the idea. Wow, CMA has forgiven Dali.)

And the meeting closed with a rousing round of "Hi Nial!!!" to let him know he is missed. Loud though it was, I'm fairly certain he couldn't hear but he shall read it in these minutes, shan't he?
