The January Event:

Tuesday December 3rd there will be a site walk for the staff at 6:00 pm until they're done. Maria will be there early for anyone coming straight from work.

Eat feast for free, serve! Rutgur is coordinating servers, see him for details. He also promisses a /hot meal/ for servers ;)

Celeste is the class coordinator, she'd like classes on a wide variety of subjects. Also if you are teaching, consider doing a shorter simplified version of your class for the children. Peredur is coordinating children's activities.

the 20th is the deadline for the January Pale if anyone wants to submit an add or some such.

Nial is looking for bids for Northern Oaken War Maneuvers, he'd like bids by December.

DEMOS:

Thank you to everyone who attended the demo last friday, it was apparently a difficult demonstration.

Tuesday December 3rd there is an evening demo for West Park Lutheran, starting at 7:00pm

There is a demo in the works for Regina High School, 2 classes of 40 kids, more details after a date is chosen. See Darius for details.

SCA Buisness:

November 20th will be our Dessert Revel, there will be no meeting December 27th due to Thanksgiving. There will be fighting allowed due to the short month, fighters are asked to bring a dessert if they intend to fight.

Officers, Domesday is coming up! Don't forget to submitt your reports to your regional superiors and to Nial, nothing wrong with doing so early!

Armourer's guild is focusing on armour again, meeting at the usual time in the usual place Thursday nights. See Timothy for details

Scribes Guild has been busy, they're meeting the second tuesday of the month at Master Aiden's for sharing work, resources and learning. Also there are a couple of oaken events with courts coming up, scrolls will be needed as always, see our local (Guenhwyfar) or regeonal (myfanwy) signet for scroll assignments.

Archery is meeting as usual on sunday's at lucus archery to practice. They are doing a winter challenge shoot. Come out and shoot! Practice makes perfect and it's fun too. Also if enough archers do not shoot regularly, the guild may not be able to afford the weekly practice.

Ian would like to see all archery marshals after meeting.

The Chatelain's lending library is here, as always. If you'd like to see or borrow one of the known world handbooks, see Lady Alex.

Glassworker's Guild is meeting friday nights at Lady Alex's home for much fun and projects, see Lady Alex for details.

Lord Nial's household is working on making period shoes, they have some working patterns, see Nial for details.

Non SCA:

The CWRU Department of Information Services is renting a theater for The Two Towers, see Milesent for details or to get in on the showing. (Editor's note: thank you! we now are full, see me if you want to be on the alternate list if anyone cancels)

Half Price Books at Van Aken is going out of buisness! their stock is moving to their Mentor store, but for the next three weeks they're reducing that inventory with some dramatic clearance prices. Books! Cheap! what more need be said?

That Chick still has a loveseat, she'll load it into her truck and drive it to your home if you'll take the thing away!

There's a modern Scottish band in town this weekend only, the Battlefield band. Good music, go see!
