If you'd like to play with goo, knives and fire, come to the kitchen! (there was some note about a new mixer?)This should be an interesting feast to be a part of, it's a mongolian feast, the last dish to sample is here tonight, take a taste and let Angharad and Francesca know what you think! There will be no actual hog's head, honest... unless the feast-o-crats decide to be cruel to head table... the menu for the feast is linked to the event's website. http://cleftlands.cwru.edu/events/jan02feast.html And after all the cooking and serving is done... there are an awful lot of dishes to do! make your feast steward eternally grateful and volunteer a while in the soapy water. SCA BUISNESS:Someone left a container full of cookies here last meeting, Aurore brought the container back the cookies however... well... they were delicious, thank you. The An Tir crown tournement recently was run a bit differently than normal, as a two day event, the first day a normal double elimination tournement that ended with 2 finalists. The tournement was concluded the next day wherein all the combatants chose a side and a melee was fought to determine which of the two finalists was to be king. This was well worked out ahead of time with everyone involved. SCA Corporate is considering changing the rules to make this sort of crown tournement illegal. If you have any opinion on this matter, please contact Pietro or Nial, they'll tell you how to get your opinion to SCA Corprate.
